A smile goes a long way, or so the saying goes
It’s rare to see one these days
With masks covering the mouth and nose
“They help to stop the spread”
As we are all constantly told
A smirk, a beam, a laugh or even a cheeky grin
We have forgotten what they look like
As removing the mask is deemed a sin
Remember the days when we would smile
Whether at a family, friend or stranger
They seem a distance memory now
As we don’t want to put those in danger
Turn off the news, stop believing the lies
Wearing masks does nothing at all
It just contributes to society’s demise.
